Accessibility

How yourqrcode.com works for everyone: what we aim for, what we check, and how to tell us when something is in the way.

What we aim for

We build yourqrcode.com to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, as the yardstick for the public pages, the steps where you make a code, My QR codes, and the pages people see when they scan a code. In practice that means plain words, large text and buttons, a visible focus outline, everything reachable with a keyboard, and motion that stops when your device asks for less of it.

What we check

  • Automated checks against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules run on every change, on the homepage, pricing, log in, the steps where you make a code, My QR codes and the pages people see when they scan.
  • Every screen is checked at phone, tablet and desktop widths, with nothing wider than the screen.
  • Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, and text keeps its contrast on every surface.
  • Reviews are done with a keyboard as well as a mouse.

What we know about

Some checks need a real phone, and we have not finished them on every screen: VoiceOver and TalkBack through the steps where you make a code and through the pages people see when they scan. We work through them and note what we find.

The card form at the payment step belongs to Stripe, and videos play in YouTube’s or Vimeo’s players; we choose settings that help, but their accessibility is theirs.

A PDF or a photo that someone uploads is shown as it is: we can’t make an uploaded file accessible on their behalf.

Tell us

If something is hard to use, email support@yourqrcode.com and say which page, what you were trying to do and what happened, and which device and assistive technology you use. We answer as quickly as we can and fix what we can.
