My QR codes
A code that doesn’t work, doesn’t scan, or opens the wrong page.
What’s it about?
My phone won’t read it
Most codes that won’t scan have one of these problems:
- It’s too light. Keep the code dark on a light background — the design step warns you when the contrast is too low.
- It’s too small. Print it at least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 × 0.8 in) for things people hold, and bigger for posters.
- There’s no space around it. Leave a margin of white around the code; our downloads include it — keep it.
- The logo covers too much. A large logo hides part of the code; try a smaller one or none.
- Glare or a bent surface. Test the printed copy with your phone’s camera before you print many.
Change the look in My QR codes, download it again and test it once more.
